Growing up in the east, Andy's excitement for all types of games is one thing that has remained in him throughout the years. Whether it was through creating levels for counter-strike or watching reality competition shows like Survivor, his high school years were spent trying to find out how to turn his love of games into something he could do for the rest of his life. From 2005 to 2009, Andy was a Computational Media major at The Georgia Institute of Technology. Learning both programming and media design, he got to choose from a large hodgepodge of subjects and classes during his time there; he was able to study game design, basic design principles, film, and other related and unrelated topics. Andy also participated in undergraduate research involving tangible interfaces on tabletop computers. After receiving his Bachelor's degree along with a minor in Japanese, Andy was accepted into the Entertainment Technology Center's class of 2011, where he has been continuing to improve in his design and programming skills. In the spring of 2010, Andy was a designer and programmer on team Bridges, a team creating a STEM- Based educational game about the current Asian Carp issue in Illinois for teenagers in classes at the Field Museum in Chicago. In addition to a flex programming job over the summer, Andy worked as a programmer on a job creating a launcher application for Computers for Youth. In the fall of 2010, he was a designer and programmer on Oceanus, an Osaka-based team working on the design and research of a large-scale user interaction on a LED-ceiling at the 2012 world expo in Yeosu, South Korea. Currently, Andy is a designer and programmer on Empyrean-2D, a team at the ETC-Silicon Valley campus creating an iPad game that goes along with EA2D's upcoming Dragon Age: Legends.
